At Zürich Zoo, you can make the acquaintance of some 360 species of animals in enclosures that reproduce their natural habitats as far as possible.
Take the Masoala Rainforest, for example. This is an experience for all the senses in which the thundering waterfall and screeches of the red-ruffed lemur to say nothing of the many different scents of the countless flowers and plants will soon put you in holiday mood. With a little patience, you might even discover one of the many chameleons, birds or fruit bats hiding in the dense vegetation. And perhaps you can get a clownfish or a seahorse to pose for you in the aquarium. Exhibitions and expert guided tours help visitors to understand the larger context, making your day out at the zoo both entertaining and educational at the same time.
